Born near Union Grove
A message received from Union 
Grove this morning states that 
George Blackburn was born 3 miles 
southwest of that village in the 
town of Dover,and that he was the 
son of the late Robert Blackburn, 
a prosperous farmer. Some years 
ago he he left the village,and was 
located near Chicago. When his 
father,and mother died some years 
ago he returned to Dover,and when 
the estate was settled he recieved 
1000.00 Since that time he has 
remained around Union Grove,and 
Racine. He was married, and has a 
wife, and two children; but is 
seperated from his wife who lives 
near Corliss. There are four 
brothers, Frank of Union Grove, 
Henry, John, and Fred, all of whom 
reside about Union Grove,and one 
sister Mrs. Bert Rosendale. The 
brothers are here today to arrange 
the funeral,and be present for the 
inquest. The following is the jury 
sworn by the coroner: Wm. Wyatt, 
Wm Fielder, John Doonan,  Alez 
Olsen,  F.W. Smith, and Frank 
Hand. The body will be taken to 
Union Grove this evening, and the 
funeral will take place at the old 
homestead tomorrow afternoon at 2 
o'clock. The burial is to be at 
Union Grove Cemetary
