STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA   COURT OF EQUITY          MECKLENBURG COUNTY

JOHN R. WILLIAMS and WILLIAM E. McRAE
                   vs.
WM. DAVIDSON, the PRESIDENT, DIRECTORS & COMPANY of the BANK OF THE UNITED
STATES, SAMUEL C. CALDWELL, G. W. SPEERS, A. R. WOLFINGTON, R. F. WILSON and 
others 

It appearing to the satisfaction of the Court that the aforesaid defendants 
named in the bill -- JOHN R. WILLIAMS and WM. E. McRAE vs. WILLIAM DAVIDSON 
and others are not residents of this State. It is therefore ordered by the 
Court that publication be made for six successive weeks in the Charlotte 
Journal notifying said defendent non-residents that unless they appear at our 
next Court of Equity to be held for the County of Mecklenburg at the Court 
House in Charlotte on the 3rd Monday in February next, then and there to 
plead, answer or demur to this petition filed. Otherwise judgment will be 
taken pro confesso and the matter heard ex parte as to them. Witness DAVID R. 
DUNLAP, Clerk of the said Court at office on the 3rd Monday in August A. D. 
1838.
