MARY N. TETER
     vs. 
ELAM J. TETER

Petition for Divorce

In this case, it appearing to the satisfaction of the Court that the 
defendant, ELAM J. TETER  is not a resident of this State. It is therefore 
ordered by the Court that publication be made for three months  in the 
Charlotte Journal notifying said defendant to be and appear at our next term 
of Superior Court to be held for the County of Mecklenburg at the Court House 
in Charlotte on the 4th Monday in August. Then and there to plead, answer or 
demur to this petition filed. Otherwise, judgment will be taken pro confesso 
and heard ex parte as to him. Witness J. B. KERR, Clerk of said Court at 
office on the fourth Monday in February, A.D. 1842.
