STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA  COURT OF PLEAS & QUARTER SESSIONS  MECKLENBURG COUNTY
April Term 1840

DAVID PARKS and JENNINGS B. KERR
         vs.
JAS. A. CARNES, Guardian of JOHN N. NESBIT and MARY A. NESBIT

Petition to be released from securityship

It appearing to the satisfaction of the Court that the defendant, JAS. A. 
CARNES, Guardian of JOHN N. NESBIT and MARY A. NESBIT, is not a resident of 
this State. It is therefore ordered by the Court that publication be made for 
six successive weeks in the Charlotte Journal notifying said defendant, that 
unless he appears at our next Court of Pleas and Quarter Sessions to be held 
for the said county at the Court House at Charlotte on the 4th Monday in July 
next. Then and there to plead, answer or demur to this petition filed, or 
judgment by default will be entered against him. Witness, BRALY OATES, Clerk 
of the said Court at office on the 4th Monday in April A. D. 1840.
