STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA  COURT OF PLEAS & QUARTER SESSIONS MECKLENBURG COUNTY
Oct. Term, 1836

JAMES D. MARTIN and ISAAC WILSON, Administrators
                  vs.
JOHN KERR et al, heirs at law of RICHARD KERR, deceased

Petition for Sale of Real Estate

It appearing to the satisfaction of the Court that one of the defendants, 
NELSON KERR, resides beyond the limits of this State. It is therefore ordered 
by the Court that publication be made for six successive weeks in the 
Charlotte Journal notifying said non-resident, defendant, to be and appear at 
our next Court to be held for the County of Mecklenburg at the Court House in 
Charlotte on the 4th Monday in January next. Then and there to plead, answer 
or demur to this petition filed. Otherwise judgment will be taken pro 
confesson and the matter heard ex parte as to them. Witness, BRALY OATES, 
Clerk of said Court at Office on the 4th Monday in October, A.D., 1836.
