STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA    COURT OF SUPERIOR LAW       MECKLENBURG COUNTY
Fall Term, 1838

HENRY CASPER
    vs.
RACHEL CASPER

Petition for Divorce

It appearing to the satisfaction of the Court that the defendant, RACHEL 
CASPER, is not an inhabitant of this State, it is therefore ordered by the 
Court that publication be made for three months in the Charlotte Journal 
notifying said defendent to be and appear at our next Court of Superior Law to 
be held for the County of Mecklenbur at the Court House in Charlotte on the 
3rd Monday in February next. Then and there to plead, answer or demur to this 
petition filed. Otherwise judgment will be taken pro confesso and the matter 
heard ex parte as to her. Witness J. B. KERR, Clerk, at office on the 3rd 
Monday in August, A. D., 1838.
