Death of the Mayor of Missouri Valley
To the Editor of the Nonpareil:
    Missouri Valley, Sept. 10, 1884-The Hon.
M. I. Bailey, mayor of our city, died at
his home here last night at 11 o'clock.
The funeral will take place Friday morning
at 10 o'clock under the auspices of Anchor
lodge No. 66, of which he was an honored
member, attended by the bar of the county,
the common council, firemen, city officers
and business men generally. All businesses
will be suspended from 9 - 12.

the stomach. He was prominent in politics
and law.
