Lenoir County, NC - 1917 Tax List Introduction

The tax list is for the year 1917 and it is for Lenoir County, North 
Carolina.
 
The districts are displayed with first the township, then the color of 
Race.  Each township is listed with first the White Race and then the 
Colored Race for the same district.  The races are listed this way 
through this tax list.

Each page has 40 numbers listed.  There are blanks on some of the 
numbers as the alphabetical letters change, unless it is started on a 
new page.

The typist has done the best that could be done, as it was difficult at 
times to determine exact spelling due to the penmanship.
