A son of William Gaston & Mary Elizabeth Fordham, Ivey was born December 4, 
1891. He married Kathleen Taylor and they had two children, Katie Elizabeth 
Fordham who died in youth and a son. Ivey died at the age of 34 on April 15, 
1925 and is buried with his daughter in the Colonel John Williams Cemetery.

Funeral Ivey Fordham Held at Rural Point
The funeral of Ivey Fordham, well-known Lenoir County man, was held this 
afternoon.  Burial took place in a private cemetery. Mr. Fordham was 34 years 
of age. He died Wednesday at the residence of Joseph Williams, a relative in 
the Woodington Section. He is survived by a widow and two children. He was an 
employee of the Tobacco Growers Cooperative Associaton. Masons participated in 
the burial service, Mr. Fordham having been a member of that order. He was a 
son of Mr. & Mrs. Gaston Fordham and a brother of B. O. Fordham, William 
Fordham, Robert Fordham, Mrs. Jennie Smith, James Fordham and Mrs. Landon 
Humphrey of this city or section. The family is prominent in Lenoir County.
