John KINSEY
Greeting,

We, reposing special trust and confidence ---- your Pa----------- Valor and
Military skill, do hereby appoint ---- a Captain? ---------
The 25th ----------------------- of our Countries
-------------------- to a recommendation made by the Field Orders of the said 
Regiment ----------------- hereby vested with the Authority and Command 
belonging to said Office, that ------------ promptly and diligently perform 
the duties thereof; as prescribed by Law and Military discipline, (after 
taking such oath or oaths as are necessary for your qualification). In the 
discharge of which, all Officers and Soldiers under your command are required 
to yield to you their ready obedience.

In Testimony Whereof,  I, Hutchins G. BURTON, Governor, Captain General, and 
Commander in Chief, have caused the Great Seal of the State to be hereunto 
affixed, and signed the ----, at our City of Raleigh, on the 13th day of 
April  in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty seven 
and of the Independence of the United States the 51st year.
