These are few of the records in the Bible of Curtis Phillips. I was not 
able to write down much of the information as only had about 15 minutes 
to look at the Bible which is in poor condition with notations in 
margins and all over the Bible. Most of the records not transcribed are 
more recent.

The Bible is in conflict with the Rev. War Pension application of 
Ferebee Phillips which states she was the widow of Joseph Phillips and 
said Joseph was the father of Curtis Phillips. At one point, Ferebee 
Phillips lived in Pitt County then later Lenoir County. Curtis Phillips 
lived in Lenoir County at Mewborns Crossroads.

Bible is in the possession of Dorothy Phillips Monette of Pollocksville, 
N.C. Transcribed by Martha Mewborn Marble. In keeping with the policy of 
not listing dates of the possible living, said dates have been deleted.
