Collins, second wife of J. W. Collins died Oct. 4th 1871 NOTE: On a separate page with information provided by Dr. Donald E. Collins. This was written by Amanda Collins Carlton Oglesby's hand for her brother Richard Lewis Collins in 1864. It was always kept in her parent's home on Vine Swamp in the Southern part of Lenoir County.The old Becton home is still standing and was on the Lenoir County Tour in 2012.
