ELIJAH PERRY LOFTIN BIBLE

This Bible is in the possession of George E. Loftin of Kinston, NC who 
graciously allowed me to copy it. It is very readable, but the condition 
of the Bible makes it impossible to Xerox. The Bible was transcribed 
from the original by Martha Mewborn Marble in 1999.

The cover and front page of this Bible is missing.

MARRIAGES

It is probable there is another entry at the top that has so faded as 
not to be readable. Mr. Loftin intends to have the Bible read under 
ultra violet light at the NC Archives

Departed this life on the 20th day of Feby. 1871 James Shadrack Loftin 
Sone of Elijah P. Loftin and Sarah his wife aged five months and Twenty 
one days

Departed this life on the 11th day Sept. 1882 Elijah Perry Loftin son of 
E. P. Loftin and Sarah his wife aged five days

Departed this Life on the 28 day February 1893 Joel Hodges Loftin son of 
Elijah P. Loftin and Sarah his wife in the 21 year of his age

Departed this life on the 7th of January 1897 Frederick Becton Loftin 
son of Elijah P. Loftin and Sarah Susanne his wife in the 42 year of his 
age

Carolina Centennia Loftin Crawford departed from her earthly home on the 
21st of July 1907 age 31 years 4 months 13 days

Elijah Perry Loftin died on January 31st 1915. He was the son of 
Shadrack Elkana Loftin and Sarah his wife, 80 years, 10 months old
