Died--Mrs. Mary Wilder Williams was born in Brookfield, Orange Co., Vermont, 
on the 8th day of May, 1841. She came with her parents to Clinton county, 
Ia., in 1853. She was one of a family of ten children, five of whom with 
father and mother preceded her to the great beyond. 

She was married to Josiah B. Hudson Jan. 1, 1859 and to them was born one 
child, Myron A. Hudson, of this city. Josiah Hudson was a member of Co. F., 
Iowa Infantry. He died March 20, 1864 in the service of his country. Mrs. 
Hudson and small son then moved from Clinton county to Maquoketa, where they 
have since made their home. 

She was married to Senceca Williams June 19, 1866, and to them was born one 
child, a son, who died at the age of eleven months. 

Mrs. Williams united with the Christian church at the age of seventeen, and 
afterwards became a member of the First Baptist church of Maquoketa. She had 
always been a faithful and earnest worker in the service of the Lord. 

She leaves to mourn her loss three sisters and two brothers--Mrs. Julia 
Truax of this city; E.M. Wilder of Horneck, Iowa; Mrs. Eva Jefferson, Sand 
Diego, California, and Mrs. Isabelle Taubman of Ferndale, California; one 
son and two step-daughters, Myron Hudson, Mrs. Eliza Wimans and Mrs. Hattie 
Suthers; four grandchildren, Mrs. Marie Palmer of Seattle, Wash., Maybelle 
Hudson, Lloyd and Esther Suthers. 

The funeral services were held at the house of Mr. Myron Hudson at 2:00 
o'clock and at the Baptist church at 2:30 on Wednesday, April 2. Rev. L.I. 
Hansen, minister of the Baptist church in charge. Interment in the Mount 
Hope cemetery, Maquoketa.
