Will of Henry Mayze, Henry Co., VA, Will Book 1 (1779-1799), Pages 150-151 
         Will of Henry Mayze of Henry County being
sick and weak in body, dated 4 Nov, 1796.
         To my son Abraham Maze five shillings.
         To my son Sherwood Maze one hilling and three pence.
         To my son Littlebery Maze, wheat sive (sieve).
         To my son Henry Maze, one cow.
         To my son Gooding Maze one man's saddle and sadle
bags and grindstone.
         To my son Liggin Maze one hundred and twenty acres
of land the land I bought of George Lumpkin, also one
sorrel colt, and one feather bed and furniture.
         Unto my daughter Susannah Hollandsworth five shillings.
         Unto my (sic) Elizabeth Quiset (?) one shilling.
         Unto my daughter Fanny Sollomon one small pot.
         Unto my daughter Phebey Maze one feather bed and fur-
niture, one tin sugar box and one looking glass, one 
chest, three plates, one bason (basin) and a paisen of earthin	
ware, and one flax wheal and one cotton wheal.
         Unto my son David Maze my track of land where I now
live containing one hundred and ten acres, one roan
mare and all my stock of cattle, hogs and all the
risedue (residue) of my estate. My son David Maze should take
the above mentioned articles and plantation twoo (tools) of
alsorts (all sorts) after my death and maintain my beloved wife
Phebey Maze during her life or widowhood.
         My friend David Lanier and David Maze executors.

         17 May 1787.  Proved by two witnesses. Exhibted by 
David Lanier and David Mays who gave bond with John
Staples and Nathan Hall securities.
