      WILL of PETER FRANS-1826

      IN THE NAME OF GOD amen Know all men by these presents that I
Peter Frans of the county of Patrick and state of Virginia do make and
constitute this my last will and testament revoking all others heretofore made
by me. Item 1 I give and devise to my beloved wife Susannah Frans during her
natural life the following property (to wit) The tract of land whereon I now
live, also one negro woman with all her increase, also one negro boy named
Brister, also two negro men named Isaac and Nathan with all my household and
kitchen furniture, with all my stock of all kinds and crop with all my
plantation utensils. After the decease of my wife I give to my son John Frans
one crop kettle. I also devise to my daughter Nancy Critz one negro woman
named Fanny with all her future increase also one negro boy named Brister also
one negro man naned Nathan. I also give to the heirs of the body of my
daughter Polly Thomas Deceased their equal portions of the money arising from
the sale of a negro man, Isaac, which I wish to be sold. I give to my
grandaughter, Nancy Thomas, one small trunk also one feather bed. I give to my
grandson Peter Thomas one feather bed. Igive to my grand daughter Susannah
Thomas one feather bed and one small trunk. I give to my grandson Carter H
Frans one folding table. I give to my son in law Washington Thomas one dollar.
I also appoint John Frans and Frederick Critz my Executors to this my last
will and testament. In witness where of I have hereunto set my hand and seal
this seventh day of June in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred
and twenty six.  It is also my will that the land heretofore deeded to my sons
John Frans and William Frans Deceased,  be theirs and their heirs forever.
After the decease of my wife Susannah Frans it is my will that all the stock
and crop and plantation utensels, household and kitchen furniture to be sold
and the money equally divided between John Frans and Nancy Critz the heirs of
William Frans decd and heirs of the body of my daughter Polly Thomas decd.
