TUDOR TO REYNOLDS DEED (1846)
Recorded in Deed Book 13, page 101, Patrick County, Virginia.
THIS INDENTURE made this 17th day of October in the year of our Lord One
thousand eight hundred and forty six between John Tudor and William Tudor and
Martha Dillion and Jesse Dillion and Martha Tudor widow of Robert Tudor dec'd
and heirs of the said deceased all of the County of Patrick and State of
Virginia and Meekins Reynolds of the said County and State Witnesseth that
whereas John Tudor and William Tudor and Martha Dillion and Jesse Dillion her
husband & Martha Tudor for and in consideration of the sum of twenty five
dollars to them in hand paid by the said Meekins Reynolds at or before the
insealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby
acknowledged hath bargained and sold and acleared and confirmed unto the said
Meekins Reynolds his heirs and assigns forever a certain tract of land lying
and being in the County of Patrick on the waters of the raising fork being
the land that the said Meekins Reynolds sold to the said Robert Tudor now
deceased containing twenty five acres more or less and bounded as follows to
wit Beginning on the rising fork at the mouth of a Branch in a Beach thence
running eastwardly through the Bay to Thomas Reynolds now survey thence with
that line a round to a corner Chestnut tree at the barn near the road in
Anglin's line now Fleming Reynolds Northward with that line to a Red Oak in
that line thence Southwardly down the Ridge to a corner post Oak thence
westwardly to a white Oak in Elijah Spencer's line now the said Reynolds
thence Southwardly with that line to a corner Mahogany in the creek thence a
dividing line to the beginning with all the appurtenances in any wise
belonging thereunto to have and to hold to him the said Meekins Reynolds his
heirs or assigns forever against us us [sic] the above-named parties our
heirs our wives to and all and every other person expressed whatever either
in law or equity recovering claiming or haveing any just right or title or
estate thereto but do by these presents forever warrant and defend the land
and premises above mentioned to said Meekins Reynolds his heirs or assigns to
hold and fully enjoy the same in Witnessing whereof I have hereunto set my
hand and affix my seal the day and year above written.

We John Turner and Crawford Turner Justices of the Peace in the County
aforesaid State of Virginia do hereby certify that Martha Tudor party to a
certain deed having date in the 17th day of October 1846 and hereunto having
presently appeared before us in Our County aforesaid and acknowledged the
same to be her act and deed and asced us to certify said acknowledgement to
the Sect of the County Records of Patrick in order that the said deed may be
recorded. Given under our hands and seals this 21st day of June 1847.

This deed of bargain and sale from John Tudor et. al. to Meekins Reynolds
having been acknowledged by John and William Tudor and proven by Two witness
as to Jesse Dillion was presented in the Clerk's Office aforesaid
acknowledged by the said Jesse Dillion and admitted to Record.
