Tudor/Tudor Deed, 1881 - Patrick Co. VA


TUDOR TO TUDOR DEED (1881) 
Recorded in Deed Book 22, page 223, Patrick County, Virginia.

This Indenture made this 6 day of Sept. 1881 between John Tuder of the County 
of Patrick and state of Virginia of the first part and Wm. A. Tuder of the 
County and state aforesaid of the seccond [sic] part witnesseth. That for and 
in consideration of the sum [of] five hundred dollars paid by the part [sic] 
of the seccond [sic] part to the party of the first part the receipt of which 
is hereby acknowledged the party of the first part doth grant bargain and 
sell to party of the seccond [sic] part a certain tract of [sic] parcell 
[sic] of land containing 75 acres more or less and bounded as follows to wit: 
Beginning at a Read [sic] oak in the old line near a fence, thence the old 
line and with the dower [sic] N.60. E.150 poles crossing mill creek to a 
sycamore tree on the said creek S.31 E12 crossing the creek to pointers P65 
E.50 poles to a chestnut tree in Mrs. Murphy's field thence her line S.5 E88 
poles to a Black Gum querry [sic] of Rocks in Magruder's line that line N.83. 
W.100 poles to a spanish oak S.35 W.80 poles to white oak in Wilson's line 
New line N.35 W.15 poles to a beach thence N.58 W.24 poles to hickory thence 
N.30 W.26 poles to bend thence N.14 W26 poles to old line that line S.87 E.34 
poles to the beginning. Now I John Tudor, the party of the first part do 
warrent [sic] generally the title to the land above named to the party of the 
seccond [sic] part to him and his heir forever.

State of Va. County of Patrick, To wit:
I, T.G. Tatum a notary public for the county of Patrick in the state of Va. 
do certify that Nancy A. Tuder the wife of John Tuder whose name is signed to 
this writing above bearing date, Sept. 6th 1881, personally appeared before 
me in the county aforesaid and being examined by me personally and apart from 
her husband and having the writing aforesaid fully explained to her and she, 
the said Nancy A. Tuder acknowledged the said writing to be her act and 
declare [sic]that she had willingly executed the same and does not wish to 
retract it.
Given under my hand this 6th Sept. 1881.

I T.G. Tatum a notary in the state of Va. do certify that John Tuder whose 
name is signed to the writing bearing date the 5 [sic] of Sept. 1881 did 
personally appear before me in my said county [and acknowledged same] to be 
his act and deed given under my hand this the 5 [sic] day of Sept. 1881.

foregoing deed and certificate was presented and admitted to record.
