Tudor/Tudor Deed, 1900 - Patrick Co. VA


TUDOR TO TUDOR DEED (1900) 
Recorded in Deed Book 30, page 198, Patrick County, Virginia.

This Deed, made this 6th day of February 1900, from John Tudor, Sr. of the 
first part to James H. Tudor of the second part. Witnesseth that in 
consideration of one thousand dollars, nine hundred dollars in hand paid one 
hundred dollars to be paid twelve months after this date, the said John 
Tudor, Sr. doth grant unto the said James H. Tudor, a certain peice [sic] of 
land lying in Patrick County on the waters of Mill Creek. The said John 
Tudor, Sr. also retains a life interest in said land, containing two hundred 
acres more or less, and bounded as follows: Beginning at the R.R. crossing 
below my house, to a corner in Via's and Tudor's line then West with Via's 
line to a white oak in said line then East to culvert in R.R. then with the 
road to the upper crossing at the road and telegraph post then cross the road 
N. to North corner of tobacco barn then East to a spring then down the branch 
to the creek then down the creek to a black walnut on said creek in 
Deavenport and Morriss line, thence South to walnut on ridge it being a 
corner between Martha Tudor, Deavenport & Morriss and John Tudor, Sr., thence 
South to R. Road and thence with R. Road as it meanders to the beginning, and 
the said John Tudor, Sr. covenants that he will warrant generally the 
property hereby conveyed.

State of Virginia Patrick Co. to wit:
I, W.H. Cooper a Justice of the said Co. and State aforesaid do certify that 
John Tudor Sr., whose name is signed to the within writing, bearing date 6th 
day of February 1900, personally appeared before me and acknowledged the 
within writing.
Given under my hand this 6th day of Feb. 1900.

Virginia Patrick County to wit:
In the Clerks office of Patrick County Court February 16th 1900. The 
foregoing deed was presented with certificate and $1.00 Revenue Stamp thereon 
and, admitted to record at 11 o'clock A.M.

The one Hundred Dollars with interest on same was this day paid on Sept. 23rd 
1902.
