Tudor/Tudor Deed, 1910 - Patrick Co. VA


TUDOR TO TUDOR DEED (1910) 
Recorded in Deed Book 42, pages 382-383, Patrick County, Virginia.

THIS DEED, Made this third day of August, 1910, by George C. Tudor and wife, 
Bessie Tudor, of Forsyth County, and State of North Carolina, of the first 
part, and W.P. Tudor of Patrick County, and State of Virginia, of the second 
part,
WITNESSETH:
That the said parties of the first part in consideration of Six Hundred 
Dollars to them paid by the said party of the second part, the receipt of 
which is hereby acknowledged, have bargained and sold, and by these presents 
do bargain, sell and convey to said party of the second part, and his heirs, 
all the right, title, interest and estate of the party of the first part in 
and to a tract, lot or parcel of land in Patrick County, State of Virginia, 
adjoining the lands of W.J. Callahan and others, bounded as follows, to-wit:
Beginning at a Red Oak in the old line near fence, thence with the old line 
and with the dower tract N. 60 E. 15 poles crossing Mill Creek to a Sycamore 
tree on said creek, S. 31 E. 12 poles crossing the creek to pointers - 65 E. 
50 poles to a Chestnut tree in Mrs. Murpheys field, thence with her line S. 5 
E. 88 poles to a Black Gum, Quarry of Rocks in Magruder's line, thence with 
that line N. 80 W. 100 poles to a Spanish Oak, thence S. 35 W. 80 poles to a 
White Oak in Wilson's line, thence with a new line N. 35 W. 15 poles to a 
Beech, thence N. 58 W. 24 poles to a Hickory, thence N. 30 W. 26 poles to 
bend, thence N. 14 W. 26 poles to old line, thence with that line S. 87 E. 34 
poles to the beginning, containing 75 acres be the same more or less.
For a particular description to which special reference is hereby made see 
Deeds from John A. Tudor and R.E. Woolwine, Special Commissioner, recorded in 
Book No. 36, pages 285-286-606 and 607, in the Office of the Clerk of the 
Circuit Court of Patrick County, Virginia.
To have and to hold the aforesaid tract, lot or parcel of land and all 
privileges and appurtenances thereto belonging to the said party of the 
second part, heirs and assigns, to his only use and behoof forever.
And the said parties of the first part covenant that they are seized of said 
premises in fee, and have the right to convey the same in fee-simple; that 
the same are free and clear from all encumbrances, and that they will warrant 
and defend said title to the same against the claims of all persons 
whatsoever.
IN TESTIMONY WHEREOF, The said parties of the first part have hereunto set 
their hands and seals the day and year first above written.

I, J.C. Bessent, Notary Public, do hereby certify that George C. Tudor and 
Bessie Tudor, his wife, personally appeared before me this day, and 
acknowledged the due execution of the within deed of conveyance, and the said 
Bessie Tudor being by me privately examined separate and apart from her said 
husband, touching her voluntary execution of the same, doth state that she 
signed the same freely and voluntarily, without fear or compulsion of her 
said husband, or any other person, and that she doth still voluntarily assent 
thereto.
Witness my hand and Notarial seal, this 3rd day of August, A.D. 1910.
My commission expires May 4th, 1911.
