SHELTON TO TUDOR DEED (1891)
Recorded in Deed Book 26, page 189, Patrick County, Virginia.
This deed made this 14th day of July 1891 between W.H. Shelton & Cora H. his
wife of the one part & John Tudor of the other part. Witnesseth for in
consideration of the sum of Eight hundred dollars the receipt of which is
hereby acknowledged the said parties of the one part doth grant bargain &
sell to the party of the other part a certain parcel or tract of land lying
on the waters of Mill Creek Patrick Co. Va. containing Three Hundred & Sixty
two acres more or less & bounded as follows to wit. Beginning on a dogwood on
or near a branch thence with with [sic] the line of James R. Via west to the
line of Perry McArthur thence East with the line of H.H. Reynolds to John
Tudor thence with his line to the line of Martha Tudor thence with her line
to the line of Samuel G. Wilson thence with his line to the line of John
Tudor thence with his line to the line of J.H.L. Tudor thence with his line
to the line of John Tudor. Thence with his line to the beginning. To have and
to hold the said tract or parcel of land with its appurtenances to the said
John Tudor & his heirs forever. In witness whereof the said W.H. Shelton and
Cora H. his wife have hereunto set their hands and and [sic] seals this 14th
July 1891.

State of Virginia, County of Patrick to wit:
I, L.G. Rucker Clerk of Court in and for the County and State aforesaid do
certify that W.H. Shelton and Cora H. Shelton his wife personally appeared
before me in my office aforesaid and subscribed and acknowledged the
foregoing deed bearing date on the 14th day of July 1891 to be their act and
deed, and that the said deed was admitted to record.
