This Indenture made this forteenth day of February in the year of our Lord 
one thousand Eight hundred and Sixteen Between Nathaniel Shelton and 
Elizabeth his wife of the County of Patrick & State of Virginia of the one 
part and John Abington of the County and State aforesaid of the other part 
WITNESSETH that for and in Consideration of the Sum of two hundred and 
Eighty five Dollars Current money of Virginia to them in hand paid before 
the ensealing and delivering of these presents the Receipt whereof is hereby 
acknodg hath Bargand Sold Released and confirmd unto the Said John Abington 
& his Heirs & assigns for Ever three Certain Tracts or parcels of land 
Situate lying and Being in the County aforeSaid on Both Sides of Bull Run 
Creek Containing three hundred and five acres more or less and Bounded as 
followeth to wit, Begining at the end of Sixty perches upon the fourth line 
of James Easts pattent for two hundred and Eighty Seven acres on Bull Run 
Creek and Runing the Resedue of that line South 52.D.West one hundred and 
Sixty Poles to pointers north Sixty two degrees west 92 poles Crossing Bull 
Run to pointers in Abraham Penns line north Sixteen Degrees east 34 Poles to 
a white oak Penns Corner thence new line north 3.D.west 100 and fifty eight 
poles Crossing Bull Run to white oak north Seventy five Degrees east Seventy 
five poles to a white oak a Stone against the Root of it thence South 39 
Degrees east a Deviding line 210 poles to the Begining now lain of for two 
hundred acres of land more or less also one other tract of eighty nine acres 
ajoining the other tract and Bounded as followeth Begining at Wm. Woolands 
and Pens Corner pointers thence on Said Penns line So.15.D.West 64 poles 
Crossing a Branch to a red oak thence new line the same Course 24 poles to a 
white oak in Welches line n. 69 E.54 poles Crosing the Creek to a Red oak 
So. 48.E.94 poles Crosing a Branch to a Red oak So. 40 West 120 poles to 
Crossing the Same to where Welches and Hookers line intersects thence with 
Hookers line No.68.E.62 poles Crossing a Branch to Sollomons Corner Beach on 
a Branch thence up his line no.17.E.24

Poles Crossing a branch to a Box Oak n.78.E.152 poles Crossing said Creek 
and a Round to Abingtons Corner Chestnut thence with his line n.69.W.97 
poles to a Chestnut No.13.E.80 poles to a Post oak in woolands line thence 
with the Same to the Beging the other tract Containing by estamation sixteen 
acres and Bounded as foloweth Begining at a post oak and Runing thence with 
his third line So.45.E.87 poles Crossing Bull Run to a Red oak So.41-W. 
Crossing the Said Creek to the fore and aft tree on the Ridge thence a 
Strait line to the first station with all the apertainences thereunto 
belonging to have and to hold the Same and fully enjoy by him the Said John 
Abington and his heirs forever against the Claims of the sd. Nathaniel 
Shelton & Elizabeth his wife or either of them or their Heirs or other 
Claims of every other person whatsoever.  In Witness whereof we have here 
unto Set our hands & affid. our Seals the Day and date above Written.

Patrick County, to wit
                       We Greenville Penn and Norman Staples Majastrats of 
the said County do hereby Certify that Nathaniel Shelton and Elizabeth his 
wife parties to the within Conveyance have duly acknoledged the same Before 
us on the Sixth day of march in the year 1816 and desired us to Certify to 
the Clerk of the County Court of Patrick in order that the Same Conveyance 
made of Record as witness our hands and Seals this 6h march.
