THIS INDENTURE made this 10th day of October in the year of our Lord One
Thousand Seven Hundred & Ninety One Between Eliphaz Shelton of the County of
Patrick of the one part and the Justices of the said County of the Other part
In Witness whereof the said Eliphaz Shelton for an[d] in consideration of the
conveniencys & profits arising from fixing the publick Buildings adjoining to
his lands the Receipt whereof is hereby Acknowledged hath Bargained sold
released and Confirmed unto the said Justices & their Successors forever a
certain Tract Piece or parcel of Land situate lying and being in the County
Aforesaid and bounded as followeth to wit Begining at a White Oak Stake North
80 WE. thirteen poles to a Sower wood Stake North seventy five W 16 poles to a
White Oak stake North fifteen East 13 poles to a sower wood stake N. 75 W 13
poles Crossing a Branch to a sowerwood N. 19 W fifty five poles to a White Oak
north 75 East 50 poles crossing a Branch to pointers south 54 East 20 poles to
a Chesnut Oak south thirteen West Sixty seven poles to the Beginning
Containing eighteen acres be the same more or less with all woods ways Water &
Water courses & all other the Emoluments Appertaining or in any wise belonging
thereunto to have and to hold the same to them the said Justices and their
Successors forever against me my heirs my Wife Nancy & her heirs or either of
us and our heirs & all and every other person or persons either in Law or
Equity recovering claiming or having any just right title or estate therein
but do by these presents forever Warrant and defend the land and premises
above mentioned to the said Justices & their successors to hold and fully
enjoy the same. In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my
Seal the day & year first above Written and in the sixteenth Year of the
Commonwealth.

The within Written Indenture was Acknowledged by the within named Eliphas
Shelton to be his Act & Deed and the same was Ordered to be Recorded by the
Court.
