DEED: WILLIAM N. SHARP TO JAMES DUVALL, 1834

This Indenture made this ____ day of Septr eighteen hundred and thirty four 
between James Duvall of the County of Patrick and State of Virginia of the 
one part and Wm. Sharp of the same County and State of the other part 
witness that the sd. Wm. Sharp for in consideration of the som of one 
Hundred and fifty dollars to him in hand paid by the said James Duvall and 
by these presents the receip whereof is Ecknowledged hath bargained and sold 
and confirmed unto the sd. James Duvall his heirs and assigns one certain 
track or parcel of land situated and being in the County of Patrick and 
State of Virginia containing fifty six acres more or less lying and and 
being in the it being the same land which was transfered Blissard Mcgruder 
to Robert Sharp by deed made of record in the Clerks Office of Patrick 
County and bounded as follows to wit begining at Sharps Corner white Oak 
thence a new line N 65 E 36 poles to a black gum in Walters        line with 
line S 13 E 54 poles pointers S 34 E 220 poles to a Spanish oak S 55 W 98 
poles to Sharps corner white oak on a branch with his line N 8 E 116 poles 
crossing a branch to a red oak N 30 W. 140 poles to the begining.

To have and to hold the sd. track of land with the appertenances whereunto 
belonging to the sd. James Duval and his ares forever to the only proper use 
& behoof and benefit of him the sd. duvall and his ayes forever and I the 
said Sharp do bind myself my ares forever to warrant and defend the rite and 
title of the sd. James Duvall and his ares forever either in law or Equity 
in witness whereof I have hear unto set my hand an affixed my Seal the day 
and year above written.

This deed of conveyance from William N. Sharp to James Duvall with the 
certificate of acknowledgement in office therein endorsed was presented in 
Court examined and ordered to be recorded.
