THIS INDENTURE made this 16th day of February one Thousand eight hundred and 
thirty two between William N. Sharp of the County of Patrick and State of 
Virginia of the one part, and James Duvall of the other part.  Witnesseth 
that for and in Consideration of the sum of one hundred dollars to him in 
hand paid by the said James Duvall at or before the ensealing and delivery 
of these presents the recept whereof is hereby acknowledged, hath bargained 
sold released and confirmed and by these presents doth bargain sell release 
and confirm unto the said James Duvall his heirs and assigns forever one 
certain tract or parcel of Land situate lying and being and being in the 
County of Patrick aforesaid on the Waters of Russels Creek, Containing 200 
acres and bounded as follows to wit, Begining at pointers in Gilbert's line, 
that line No. 33 W 14 poles to a white oak S 12 E 16 pos. to pointers So. 60 
W 146 pos. crossing two branches to a Sorrelwood tree No. 79 W 84 pos. to a 
white oak thence So. 30 E 130 pos. to a red oak So. 51 W 94 pos. to a white 
oak So. 59 E 149 pos. crossing a branch to a white chesnut tree No. 20 E 64 
pos. to a red oak E 47 pos. crossing a branch of Russels creek to a chesnut 
tree in Rodgers line, that line up the branch No. 14 W 30 pos. to a corner 
No. 45 E 12 pos. to a corner No. 60 E 56 pos. to a corner No. 40 E 20 pos. 
to a corner No. 32 W 60 poles to pointers on the branch thence a new line 
157 poles to the Begining.  To have and to hold the said tract of Land with 
the appurtenances thereunto to him the said James Duvall and his heirs 
forever and the said William N. Sharp for himself and his heirs will warrant 
the title of the said tract of Land to the said James Duvall and his heirs 
free from the claim of the said William N. Sharp and his heirs and all and 
every other persons claiming under him either in Law or equity.  In 
testimony whereof he hath hereunto set his hand and affixed his seal the day 
and date above written ---

                         This Indenture of bargain and sale from William 
Sharp to James Duvall with the certificate thereon endorsed, was exhibited 
in Court, examined and ordered to be recorded.
