THIS INDENTURE made this 5th day of March 1831 between Samuel Sharp of the
County of Patrick and State of Virginia of the one part, and George Rogers
of the same County and State of the other part, Witnesseth, that whereas
Winston Newman by a certain indenture of bargain and sale bearing date 27th
day of August 1830 sold and conveyed to the said Samuel Sharp in trust, a
certain tract or parcel of Land lying and being in the County of Patrick and
State aforesaid on the waters of the South Mayo River and Containing by
estimation fifty five acres be the same more or less, and bounded as follows
to wit, adjoining the Land of James M. Redd, Saml. Flippin and others, and
for further particulars respecting the said Land, refference can be had to
the patent in the hands of Winston Newman To secure the payment of a debt
due from the said Winston Newman to James M. Redd. And whereas the said
Samuel Sharp on the 5th day of March 1831 pursuant to the trust aforesaid
reposed in him, having first advertised the time and place of sale as
proscribed in the said Indenture in trust, offered the tract of Land above
mentioned to the highest bidder for ready money, and the said George Rogers
of the Second part, became the purchaser for the sum of three hundred and
twenty eight dollars - Therefore the said Saml. Sharp of the first part, for
and in consideration of the said sum of three hundred and twenty eight
dollars to him in hand paid, and by virtue of the covenant in the said
Indenture in trust doth bargain and sell to the said George Rogers and his
heirs forever the aforesaid tract of Land with all its appurtenances to have
and to hold the said tract of Land with the appurtenances unto the said
George Rogers and his heirs forever, and the said Samuel Sharp for himself
and his heirs doth covenant with the said George Rogers and his heirs, that
the said Saml. Sharp for himself and his heirs doth by these presents convey
to the said George Rogers and his heirs all the right and Interest, claim
and demand either in law or equity which has acquired under the said
Indenture in trust. In witness whereof the said Samuel Sharp hath hereunto
set his hand and affixed his seal the day & year first above written.

This deed from Samuel Sharp trustee to George Rogers with the
Certificate thereon endorsed, was presented in Court, examined and ordered
to be recorded.
