    This Indenture made the 24th day of April in the year of our lord Christ 
one thousand eight hundred and nine Between Robert Sharp of the County of 
Patrick of the one part and Wm. Sharp of said County of the other part In 
witness whereof the said Robert Sharp for and in consideration of the sum of 
two hundred and fifty dollars to him in hand paid by the said Wm. Sharp at 
or before the ensealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof 
is thereby acknowledged hath bargd. sold released and Confirmed unto the 
said Wm. Sharp his heirs & assigns forever a certain tract piece or parcel 
of land situate lying and being in the County of Patrick on the head waters 
of Russells Creek Containing one hundred acres more or less and bounded as 
followeth to wit, Begining at a black gum one of Hudson corners in the 
original patent, thence So. 55& [half] degrees east 55 poles crossing two 
Branches to a white oak & no. 8 degrees east 125 poles crossing a Branch to 
a black oak thence no. 36 degrees west continued on same line to two white 
oaks marked by parties thence a south course on a line marked by the parties 
cross the said land to the out side line to a sowerwood marked as aforesaid 
& thence with the old line as it meanders to the Beginning it being a part 
of the land that Robert Hall now lives on an purchased and conveyed frm 
Isham Hudson to said Hall with all woods ways water and water courses fences 
trees orchards houses and all other the emoluments appertaining or in any 
wise Belonging thereunto to have and to hold the same to him the said Wm. 
Sharp his heirs and successors against me my heirs my wife and her heirs or 
either of us our heirs and all and every other person or persons whatsoever 
either in law or equity receiving Claiming or having any Just right title or 
estate therein but do by these presents forever warrant defend the land and 
premises above mentioned to the said Wm. Sharp his heirs and successors to 
hold and fully enjoy the same.  In witness whereof  I have thereunto set my 
hand and affixed my seal the day and year above written & in the XXXIII year 
of the Commonwealth.

                       This deed was acknowledged in Court by the within 
named Robert Sharp to be his Act and Deed and Ordered to be Recorded.
