DEED: CHARLES AND MATILDA SHARP TO THOMAS REYNOLDS, 1820

This Indenture made this 11th day of March in the year of our Lord 1820 
between Charles Sharp and Matilda his wife of Patrick County and State of 
Virginia of the one part and Thomas Reynolds of said County of the other 
part -- Witnesseth that the said Charles Sharp and Matilda his wife for and 
in consideration of the Sum of Four hundred and twenty dollars to him in 
hand paid by the said Thomas Reynolds at or before the delivering of these 
presents the recept of which they do hereby acknowledge hath granted, 
bargained, sold, released and confirmed unto the said Thomas Reynolds heirs 
and assigns forever a certain tract, piece or parcel of land situated lying 
and being in the County aforesaid on the waters of the Nobusiness folk [sic] 
of North Mayo river containing one hundred and fifty acres more or less. 
Beginning at Camrons Corner Maple on a Creek thence with his line South 86 
W.80 Poles crossing a branch to a Spanish oak North 56 W.45 Poles to a red 
oak thence new lines South 35.W.61 Poles to a spanish oak, South 63.W.34 
Poles to a locust tree, South 6.W.20 Poles to hickory, South 44.E.76 poles 
to a Chesnut tree, South 10.W.52 Poles to a red oak.  Thence to the 
condition line between Abraham Reynolds and Charles Sharp thence with said 
line to the other line on the South side, thence east crossing a branch 
twice to a Maple North 56.E.21 Poles to a Chesnut tree, North 36.E.28 poles 
crossing a branch to a white oak North 60.E.52 Poles to a Maple, North 42 
Poles crossing a branch to a chesnut oak, North 24.W.32 Poles to the 
beginning.  With all woods, ways, Water and Water Courses, trees, orchards 
houses, fences and all other emoluments thereunto belonging or in any wise 
appertaining thereunto, to have and to hold the same to the said Thomas 
Reynolds his heirs and assigns forever and the said Charles Sharp and 
Matilda his wife do hereby agree to Warrant and defend a good and lawful 
right and title to the said tract of land the said Thomas Reynolds his heirs 
and assigns free from the claim of themselves their heirs etc. and from all 
and every other person or persons Whatsoever.  In Witness whereof the said 
Charles and Matilda his wife have hereunto set their hands and seals the day 
and year above written.

wife of Charles Sharp parties to the within deed for the conveyance of 
certain lands....
