THIS INDENTURE made this 9th day of October in the year of our Lord one
thousand eight hundred and two, Between Jacob McGraw of the County of Surry
and State of North Carolina of the one part, and William McMilon of the
County of Patrick and Commonwealth of Virginia of the other part. Witnesseth
that for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred and thirty five
pounds current money of Virginia, the receipt whereof the said Jacob McGraw
doth hereby fully acknowledge hath Bargained and Sold and by these Presents
doth hereby fully transfer and completely transfer and convey to the said
William McMilon his heirs and assigns forever, all that track or parcel of
land lying situate and being in the county of Patrick (formerly Henry), in
the Commonwealth of Virginia. Beginning at a poplar on a large spur on the
main Blue Ridge, the said spur bearing from the poplar north 24. E., thence
new lines So. 5. E. 32. poles to a Chestnut tree So. 57. E. 146 poles
crossing a branch to a spur of said mountain, thence up the same and round by
the Blue Ridge to the Beginning, containing by Patent three hundred acres of
land. To have and to hold to the said William McMilon, his heirs and assigns
forever. And the said Jacob McGraw doth hereby covenant to and with the said
William McMilon that he the said Wm McMilon, his heirs and assigns or any of
them shall and may from the date hereof peacefully enter into hold occupy and
enjoy and possess the aforesaid land and premises free and clear from all
incumbrance of any person or persons lawfully claiming the same by from or
under him the said Jacob McGraw. In testimony whereof the said Jacob McGraw
hath hereunto set his hand and affirmed his seal the day and year above
written.

The Within Written Indenture was proved by one of the Witnesses thereto to be
the act and deed of the within named Jacob McGraw, and the same was ordered
to be certified by the court, and afterwards to wit at October Court the same
was fully approved by the oaths of the witnesses thereto, to be the Act and
Deed of the within named Jacob McGraw, and the same was ordered to be
recorded by the court.

appears to be John Agrigg.
Note William McMilon, named in the this deed, is William McMillian, b. 1770.
