Deed to Henry McMillian from Michael McDorman, 1804
            Patrick County, Virginia

This Indenture made fourth day of December in the year of our Lord Christ one 
thousand 8 hundred and 4 between Michael McDorman of the County of Guilford 
and State of North Carolina of the one part and Henry McMillion of Patrick of 
the other part, in witnesseth whereof the said Michael McDorman for and in 
consideration of the sum of one hundred dollars to  him in hand paid by the 
said McMillian at or before the ensealing and delivery of these presents the 
receipt whereof hereby is acknowledged, hath bargained, sold delivered and 
confirmed unto the said McMillian his heirs and assigns forever a certain 
tract piece or parcel of land containing fifty four acres, situate, lying and 
being in the County of Patrick on the Head Branches of Lovings Creek, and 
bounded as follows, to wit: beginning at a chestnut tree on head of S Creek, 
thence new lines N eighty six E twenty eight poles to white oak, North 
seventy E forty four poles to double chestnut, N10 W seventy poles to a 
chestnut near a large Rock, S eighty, w sixty six poles to a Spanish oak, S 
twenty four W forty poles chestnut, S fifty seven and W thirty nine poles to 
a white oak, S fifty W forty poles to a chestnut oak, thence N seventy and E 
sixty poles crossing two branches to the beginning--
Containing fifty four acres, with all woods, ways, and water courses, trees, 
orchards and all other emoluments appertaining or in any wise belonging 
thereunto to have and to hold, the same the said McMillian and heirs assigns 
forever against me my heirs or either of us and all and every other person or 
persons whatsoever either in law or Equity recovering claiming or having any 
right title or estate therein; but do by these presents forever Warrant and 
defend the land and premises mentioned to the said McMillion his heirs and 
successors to hold and fully enjoy the same, in witnesseth I have hereunto 
set my hand and fixed my seal the day and year above written--
