DEED BETWEEN JESSE JONES and JONATHON SALMONS

	This Indenture made this 8 day of March in the year of our Lord
1822 Between Jesse Jones of the County of Patrick and State of Virginia 
of the one part and Jonathon Salomons of the other part. Witnesseth that 
for the fileal love and regard the said Jones has for his daughter Martha 
Salmons doth by these presents grand and bequeath unto the said Martha 
Salmons and her husband Jonathon Salmons a certain boundary of Land in 
the County of Patrick lying and being on Big Wigeon Creek supposed to be 
seventy five acres with all its appertances be the same more or less
adjoining 
the lands of David McAlexander, William McAlexander, John Slaughter and the 
said Jones and Nelson Moran and bounded as follows to wit, Beginning on a 
Poplar near David McAlexander's house thence along the said Alexander's 
line to William Alexander's line thence along the said line to a corner red
oak 
in John Slaughter's line, thence along said Slaughter's   line to a corner
white oak thence a

straight line to Nelson Moran's line, thence along the said line to a corner
Hickory 
near the creek, thence crossing the said creek to the beginning. The said
Jones 
doth put the said Salmons in full free and peaceable possession of the said
land 
to have and to hold as his own lawful possession only no liberty to trade or
traffic 
the said piece of land during the life of said Jones or his wife. Further by
these 
presents the said Jones doth forever warrant, defer, and confirm the said
land 
unto the said Salmons against the claim of the said Jones, his heirs or
assigns forever. 
As Witness my hand and seal this 8 day of April 1822.

	We John Tatum and Louis Hanby Justice of the Peace in the County
aforesaid in the State of Virginia do hereby certify that Jesse Jones a
party to 
a certain deed bearing date on the 8 day of April 1822 and hereby annexed, 
personally appeared before us in our County aforesaid and acknowledged the
same to be his act and deed and desired us to certify that acknowledgement
to the Clerk of the County Court of Patrick in order that the deed may be
recorded
