Description of land from Original Deed to Catherine [Scott] Harrold from Mary 
A. and Lucy Chambers, 1850

             Carroll County Virginia


Mary A. Chambers and Lucy Chambers deed to Catherine Harrold with special 
warranty all two certain tracts or parcels of land--lying and being in the 
County of Carroll, State of Virginia, within the lines and bounds of the 
Chambers Survey ---

One tract containing twenty acres lying on the Ward's Gap Road, and within 
the lines of a survey of 200 acres made by and patented to Thomas Scott on 
the first day of February 1850, lying and being in the County of Patrick, 
Virginia. Also one tract of fifty three (53) acres lying on the West side of 
the Ward's Gap Road within the lines and bounds of a survey made and patented 
to John Scott on the first day of August 1850 containing 163 1/2 acres in the 
county of Carroll aforesaid.

I hereby certify that the foregoing is a true copy of the boundaries of the 
above mentioned tracts or parcels of land, the original Deed having been left 
in my possession by the said Catherine Harrold's husband (Elijah Harrold) 
until called for.

Note 1: Catherine [Scott] Harrold, grantee, is the daughter of John Scott and 
Affirah [Ayers] Scott, and the wife of Elijah Harrold.

Note 2: Thomas Scott is the son of John Scott and Affirah [Ayers] Scott.

Note 3: John Scott is the son of Thomas and Catherine Scott, and the husband 
of Affirah [Ayers] Scott.)
