Seven and one half acres, more or less on the waters of Puppy Creek
Written: February 6, 1922
Recorded: March 8, 1922

  THIS DEED, Made this 6th day of February, 1922, between Taylor A. Wright, 
party of the first part, and Peter Martin, party of the second part,
  WITNESSETH: That in consideration of the sum of Four Hundred Dollars ($400.00) 
cash in hand paid, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, the said party of 
the first part doth grant unto the said party of the second part with General 
Warranty, all of a certain trace or parcel of land lying and being in Patrick 
County, Virginia, on the waters of Puppy Creek, adjoining the lands of W.A. Via, 
Lelia J. Wright, Charlie Martin, containing seven and one-half acres, more of 
less, and bounded as follows:
  Beginning at corner stone at the ford of the Creek on S.W. side of public 
road;thence up the creek as it meanders S. 73 1/2 W 5 1/2 poles, S. 30 W 5 
poles, S 56 W 10 3/5 poles, S 27 W. 7 poles S 6 W 7 1/2 poles S 62 W 7 poles S 
27 1/2 W 9 1/2 poles, S 44 W 14 1/2 poles to a corner hornbeam on bank of Creek; 
thence leaving the creek N 87 1/2 E 13 1/2 poles to a corner rock just above 
another large rock; thence N 67 1/2 E 47 1/2 poles to a corner stone on the 
public road; thence down the road as it meanders, N 40 E 3 1/2 poles, N 19 W 9 
1/2 poles N 49 W 5 1/2 poles N 58 W 11 4/5 poles, N 11 W 8 poles to the 
beginning.
  The said first party covenants that he has the right to convey the said land 
to the grantee; that he has done no act to encumber the said land; that the 
grantee shall have quiet possession of the said land, free from all 
encumbrances, and that he the said party of the first part, will execute such 
further assurances of the said land as may be requisite.
  Witness the following signature and seals.

STATE OF VIRGINIA, County of Patrick, to-wit:

  I, Thos. E. Bryant, a Notary Public in and for the County aforesaid, in the 
State of Virginia, do certify that Taylor A. Wright, whose name is signed to the 
foregoing writing, bearing date on the 6th day of February, 1922, has 
acknowledged the same before me in my county aforesaid.
  Given under my hand this 6th day of February, 1922.

VIRGINIA-Patrick County, to-wit:

  In the clerk's office of Patrick Circuit Court the 8 day of March, 1922, this 
deed was presented and with the certificate annexed admitted to record at 3
