Five acres more or less on the waters of Puppy Creek

THIS DEED, Made this the 19th day of February 1921, between W.A. Via and Martha
A. Via, his wife of Patrick County, Virginia, parties of the first part, and
C.B. Martin of the County and State aforesaid, party of the second part.
WITNESSETH: That for and in consideration of the sum of One Hundred Seventy-
five Dollars ($175.00) cash in hand paid, the receipt whereof is hereby
acknowledged, the said first parties do grant, bargain, sell and convey unto the
said second party with covenants of general warranty, all of a certain tract or
parcel of land lying in Patrick County, Virginia, on the waters of Puppy Creek,
containing 5 acres, more or less and bounded as follows:
Beginning at a black gum in C.B. Martin's line on the west side of Embersons
mill road; thence easterly course crossing said road (about 20 poles to a set
stone, thence a northerly course about 19 poles to a corner white oak in H.H.
Emberson's line thence with said Emberson's line a westerly course to the said
mill road and C.B. Martin's line; thence with the said road and Martin's line as
it meanders to the beginning.
The said first parties covenant that they have the right to convey the said
land to the grantee; that they have done no act to encumber the same; that the
grantee shall have quiet possession of the same free from all encumbrances, and
that they the said first parties will execute such further assurance of the said
land as may be requisite.

STATE OF VIRGINIA, County of Patrick, to-wit:
I, Thos. E. Bryant, a notary public in and for the County of Patrick and State
of Virginia, do certify that W.A. Via and Martha A. Via, his wife, whose names
are signed to the foregoing writing, bearing date on the 19th day of February,
1921, have acknowledged the same before me in my County and State aforesaid.
Given under my hand this the 19th day of February 1921.

VIRGINIA-Patrick County, to wit:
In the Clerk's Office of Patrick Circuit Court the 23 day of Jan. 1926, this
