3 acre tract near Puppy Creek

  Patrick County Deed Book 42, Page 96

  THIS DEED, Made this October 3, 1914, between Margarett Bryant, party of the 
first part, and C.B. Martin, party of the second part, all of the county of 
Patrick and State of Virginia, 

                                 WITNESSETH:

  That for and in consideration of the sum of Thirty Dollars, of which the 
receipt is hereby acknowledged, the party of the first part, doth bargain and 
sell to the party of the second part, a certain tract or parcel of land with 
General Warranty; on Puppy Creek and its waters; containing three acres, more or 
less.
  Beginning on a planted stone on North East side of creek, thence a North East 
course, across a ridge to a planted stone on Public Road, crossing said road, 
thence down the hill to a planted stone near the head of Emberson's Mill Dam, 
thence up Puppy Creek as it meanders, to the beginning.   Said tract being part 
of a 25 acre tract now owned by said Margarett Bryant.   Witness my hand and 
seal this 10th day of October, 1914.
