Ten acres on the south waters of Smith's River
Written: November 14, 1888

  Deed Book 25, Page 195

This deed made the 14th day of November, 1888 between Pleasant T. Moran and 
Sarah his wife of the first part, and Wade A. Emberson of the other part, 
Witnessith:  That in consideration of Twenty five dollars ($25.00) the receipt 
of which is hereby acknowledged, the said parties of the first part do grant 
with general warranty unto the said Wade A. Emberson, a certain piece or parcel 
of land lying in Patrick County on the south waters of Smith's River containing 
ten (10) acres, the same more or less and bounded as follows, to wit: Beginning 
at Emberson's own line on the Elamsville road, thence with said road to Moses 
Martin's line; thence his line to Hancock's line that line to Emberson's line, 
that line to the beginning.  To have and to hold said land to him the said Wade 
A. Emberson and his heirs or assigns forever.   Witness the following signatures 
and seals.

Virginia, Patrick County to wit:

  I, J.A. Burnett, a justice of the peace in and for said County, do certify 
that Pleasant T. Moran and Sarah his wife, whose names are signed to the within 
deed bearing date 14th day of November 1888 have acknowledged the same before me 
in my county aforesaid.
               Given under my hand this 14th day of November, 1888.
                                          J.A. Burnett J.P.
  In the Clerk's office of Patrick County Court on the 27 day of August, 1889 
this deed was presented and with the certificate thereon admitted to record.
