  This deed made and entered into this the 4th day of November 1907 between Wade 
A. Emberson, Esther J. Emberson, his wife parties of the first part and P.W. 
Emberson, party of the second part, Witnesseth the following to wit:  That for 
and in consideration of ($75.00) seventy five dollars receipt whereof is hereby 
acknowledged the parties of the first part doth bargain, sell, release, and 
convey with general warranty to the part of the second part a certain tract of 
land lying in Patrick County, Virginia on the waters of Puppy Creek adjoining 
Peter L. Via, Wesley Bryant, and other containing 55 acres more or less and 
bounded as follows.  Beginning on a chestnut now down and planted stone, thence 
with neighborhood road supposed N. to top of a hill and over hill same direction 
crossing a small branch to a chestnut tree on a cliff of rock in the Alex Via 
line, thence with said line supposed south to a chestnut oak on top of a ridge 
in James Cox line, Thence with said line supposed S.E. to a corner chestnut now 
down and planted rock, corner on old Martin line, thence with the line to the 
beginning to the said P.W. Emberson his heirs, executors, administrators, or 
assigns forever witness the following signatures and seals

                                  Esther J. Emberson her X mark Seal

State of Virginia, County of Patrick to wit:
  I, D.H. Wood, a Justice in and for the county and state aforesaid do certify 
that Wade A. Emberson and Esther J. Emberson, his wife whose names are signed to 
the foregoing writing bearing date on the 4th day of November, 1907 have 
acknowledged the same before me in my County.   Given under my hand this 4th day 
of November 1907.

Virginia, Patrick County to wit:
  In the Clerk's office of Patrick Circuit Court the 24th day of February, 1908, 
the foregoing deed presented and with the certificate annexed and admitted to 
record.
