Joseph Porter

DEED	 Allegheny County Pennsylvania                 January 9, 1835

	The agreement made this ninth day of January 1835, Between William 
Robinson Jr. of the one part and Joseph Porter of the other part Witnesseth 
That for the consideration herein after mentioned this said Robinson doth 
grant bargain and sell to Jos Porter all those thirty lots of ground situate 
in the borough of Allegheny and part of out Lot No 4, situate between Lacoch 
Street and Robinson Street as they are continued through said out lot and east 
of Grantham Street to the line of out Lot No 42 the said thirty lots being 
numbered in Robinson plan Nos 38,39,40, 
41,42,43,44,45,46,47,48,49,50,51,52,53,54,55,62,63,64,65,66,67,68,69,70,71,72,7
3 excepting and excluding from the ground above described the streets and 
alleys running through the same and consideration hereof said Porter agrees 
and binds himself his heirs vc to pay to said Robinson his heirs or assigns 
the sum of eight thousand dollars in the following manor viz: one thousand 
dollars on or before the first day of July 1835 and the residue seven thousand 
dollars in six equal annual payments from the said 1st July 1835 with interest 
payable annually from the same date On which payments being made said Robinson 
binds himself his heirs vc. To make or cause cause to be made to said Porter a 
deed for the above described and numbered lots in fee simple clear of all 
incumbrance. Witness our hands and seals this 9th Jun'y  1835.

Rec;d Feb;y 17th 1835 of Joseph Porter his note at one hundred and thirty one 
days for one thousand dollars and bonds for eleven hundred and sixty six 
dollars 66/100  each being the amount of the consideration when paid said 
bonds bearing interest from 1st July 1835 in addition to the within said 
Robinson agrees to make a deed for the aforesaid lots in the one half of the 
purchase money being paid said Porter securing be paid Robinson the balance on 
the property, Witness my hand and seal. Wm Robinson Jr. (seal)
Allegheny County, City of Pittsburgh S.S. Before the subscriber an Alderman in 
and for said city with powers of a justice of the peace in and for said 
county, personally appeared William Fitzsimmons inscribing witness to the 
foregoing articles of agreement and being duly sworn did declare and say that 
said Wm. Robinson Jr. and Joseph Porter sign and seal and acknowledge the said 
instrument of writing and for their act and deed and desired the same to be 
recorded as such. Wm Fitzsimmons              and subscribed before me this 
10th day of March A.D. 1835
