William Stewart
DEED Allegheny County Pennsylvania August 26, 1835
This Indenture made the twenty sixth day of August in the year of our
Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty five Between Joseph Porter of the
borough of Allegheny in the County of Allegheny and Commonwealth of
Pennsylvania and his wife of the one part and William Stewart of the borough
of Allegheny aforesaid of the other part. Witnesseth that the said Joseph
Porter and Elizabeth his wife for and in consideration of the sum of two
thousand dollars lawful money of the United States to them in hand paid by the
said William Stewart at or before the ensealing or delivery here of the
receipt where of is hereby acknowledged , have granted, bargained, sold ,
aliened, enfeoffed, released, conveyed and confirmed, and by these presents do
grant, bargain, sell, alien, enfeoff, release, convey and confirm onto the
said William Stewart , his heirs and assigns, the following described tracts
or lots of ground situate in said County of Allegheny and borough of Allegheny
as aforesaid viz Lot numbered one in the plan of lots laid out by Mary
Sturgeon and bounded as follows to wit- Beginning at the distance of thirty
one feet from the corner of out lot number 26 in the reserve trust opposite
Pittsburg on Bank Lane thence eastwardly along said lane fifty feet five
inches to lot No. 2 on said plan thence along same lot north 14 degrees west
two hundred and five feet and 8 inches to lot No 41 thence along said lot
south 76 degrees west fifty feet and one half inch thence south 14 degrees
east two hundred feet to place of beginning. Also lots Nos 12,13, and 14 as
marked on plan of lots laid out by William Fitzsimmons bounded as follows,
Beginning at the south east corner of said lot No. 12, at the junction of 220
feet, alleys running there north 14 degrees west with one of same alley 75
feet to southeast corner of lot No.15 on said plan thence south 76 degrees
west on the line between lots No 14 & 15 eighty feet thence south 14 degrees
east seventy five feet to the north west corner of the aforesaid lot No 1
thence north 76 degrees west eighty feet to place of beginning comprising said
three lots Nos. 12,13,14 Also the following described tracts of or lots of
ground lying and situate in the borough of Allegheny and County of Allegheny
aforesaid being lots numbered 15,16,17,18,19,20,21,22 as marked on the plan of
that part of said borough of Allegheny which has been recently laid out by
Wm. Fitzsimmons bounded as follows to wit. - Beginning at the north east
corner of lot numbered fourteen on the plan aforesaid and on the western line
of a twenty feet alley running thence with said alley north 14 degrees west
two hundred and five feet to the northern boundary line of said lot No 22
thence with the western boundary line of lot 22,21,20,19,18,17,16 and 15 south
14 degrees east two hundred and five feet to the north west corner of lot No
14 north seventy six degrees east eighty feet to the place of beginning,
Comprising lots Nos 15,16,17,18,19,20,21,22 in the plan of Wm. Fitzsimons
aforesaid, The whole of the foregoing and described lots and premises being
part of a tract ground or lots aforesaid which David Fitzsimmons and Martha
his wife by deed dated 30th June A.D. 1829 and recorded in book @. 2 Allegheny
County page 386 conveyed in fee to William Fitzsimmons and the said William
Fitzsimmons being so seized did with his wife Catherine by deed dated 12th
July A.D. 1831 and recorded in Allegheny County in Book R 2 page 51 as also by
their other deed dated 19th July A.D. 1831 and recorded in Allegheny county in
Book R 2 page 52 conveyed all the foregoing described premises in fee to the
said Joseph Porter as by reference to said deeds will fully and at large
appear Together with all and singular the buildings improvements woods, ways
waters, water-courses, rights, liberties, privileges, hereditaments and
appurtenances whatsoever there unto belonging or in anywise appertaining; and
the reversions and remainders, rent issues and profits thereof and also all
the estate right, title interest property claim and demand whatsoever of them
the said Joseph Porter and Elizabeth his wife in law or equity or otherwise
howsoever of in and to the same To have and to hold the said described lots of
ground being the foregoing described premises hereby granted or mentioned or
intended as to by with the appurtenances unto the said William Stewart his
heirs and assigns. To and for the only proper use benefit and behoof of him
the said William Stewart his heirs and assigns forever. And the said Joseph
Porter and Elizabeth his wife do covenant promise and agree to and with the
said William Stewart his heirs and assigns by these presents that they the
said Joseph Porter and Elizabeth his wife and their heirs the said described
lots of ground hereby granted with the appurtenances unto the said William
Stewart his heirs and assigns, against them the said Joseph Porter and
Elizabeth his wife and their heirs and against all and every other person or
persons whomsoever lawfully claiming or to claim the same shall and will
warrant and forever defend by these presents In witness whereof the said
Joseph Porter and Elizabeth his wife have hereunto set their hands and seals
the day and year first with in written.

Thomas Sample
Received on the day of the date of the above Indenture of and from the
above and within named William Stewart the sum of two thousand dollars lawfull
money of the United States being the consideration money within mentioned in
full

Allegheny County S.S. Before me Thomas Sample Esq. A justice of the
peace personally came the above named Joseph Porter and his
wife and acknowledged the above Indenture to be their act and deed and desired
the same might be recorded as such. She the said Elizabeth being examined
separate and apart from her said husband and the contents of said Indenture
being first made fully known to her, declared that she did of her own free
will and accord sign and seal and as her act and deed deliver the same without
and coercion or compulsion of her said husband. Witness the hand and seal of
the said Twenty sixth the day of August A.D. 1835
