These obituaries that have been passed down in my family--they are
newspaper clippings from Kinston, Lenoir Co.

Ike ROCHELLE Dies at 88, Funeral Set for SaturdayIsaac Sloan (Ike)
ROCHELLE, 88, died in Forest Hill Nursing Homee in Goldsboro at 9:45
p.m. Thursday after a period of declining health. He was a retired
building contractor and farmer. Mr. ROCHELLE was the son of the late
Benjamin and Indiana Sloan ROCHELLE of Magnolia. He was a charter member
of the Kinston Universalist Church, having moved here as a young man.
Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Saturday from the
Univerasalist Church with Rev. Kenneth MARSHALL, his pastor,
officiating. Burial will follow in Maplewood Cemetery. The body will be
moved to the church from Garner's Funeral Home one hour prior to the
funeral Saturday. Surviving are four sons, J.Marvin ROCHELLE and Hanson
ROCHELLE, both of Kinston, Ike ROCHELLE of Roanoke Rapids and Zee
ROCHELLE of Elizabeth City; two daughters, Mrs L.M NASH and Mrs. Earl
PRESSLY of Kinston; two neices which he reared. Mrs. George CROOM of
Kinston; and Mrs. Ralph DANIELS of Watertown, N.Y.; 12 grandchildren, 12
great grandchildren; a sister Mrs. Walter F. BUTLER of Asheville, N.C.
Pallbearers will be Jimmy ROCHELLE, Marvin SPENCE, Joe PRESSLY, B.R.
(Doc) ROUSE, O.E. KENECUTT, and Joe LAMB.Memorial contributions may be
made to the Kinston Universalist Church.
