Obituary

James Hazzard, Dead.
James Hazzard, elderly resident of the eastern part of the city, died at 
his home on McDaniel Street last night. He is survived by a widow, who 
was Miss Nancy Byrd, daughter of the late Joshua Byrd. Six children also 
survive, as follow: Mrs. J. M. Merritt, Norfolk, Va; A.L. Hazzard of 
High Point; Mrs Paul Gardner and Misses Helen Thelma and Essie Hazzard 
of this city, and another daughter At Raleigh. Funeral will be held 
tomorrow at 3 pm. Burial will be in Maplewood Cemetery.
