1902 Deed from Franklin D. Hill, Esbrann Hill, Simon F. Faulkner and Elizabeth
Faulkner to Thomas R. Hill

Know all men by these presents that We Franklin D Hill and wife Esbrann Hill
and Simon F. Faulkner and wife Elizabeth S. Faulkner for and in consideration
of the love good will and affection which we have for our brother Thomas R
Hill and the further consideration of one dollar we do hereby release all our
right and title to a certain tract of land to our brother Thomas R Hill it
being Lot No 3 in the division of our Fathers land and by mutual agreement was
laid off as his Shair and bounded as follows lying in the Institute Township
at Wheat Swamp Church yard near the road and near where a Guide post formerly
stood and runs with Miller B Creech's line as the needle now points S 31 E
114 poles to a Stake then N 82 W 126 poles and 17 links to a Stake then
due North 80 poles with the line of lot No 2 to the road then with the road S
81 E 5 poles S 75 E 14 poles S 82 E 6 poles N 86 E 12 poles N 82 E
19 poles then N 76 E 9 poles to the beginning Containing Fifty acres To have
and to hold to him his heirs and assigns the right that we have or may have
had we do hereby relinquish and forever quit claim all right title or interest
to the Said tract of land in witness hereof we have hereunto Set our hands
and affixed our Seals this January the 7th day 1902.

I, Plato Collins, Clerk of Superior Court of Lenoir County, do hereby
certify that F.D. Hill and S.F. Faulkner and Esbrann Hill and Elizabeth S.
Faulkner their wives, personally appeared before me this day and acknowledged
the due execution of the annexed Deed of Conveyance; and the said Esbrann Hill
and Elizabeth S. Faulkner, being by me privately examined, separate and apart
from their said husbands touching their voluntary execution of the same, do
state that they signed the same freely and voluntarily, without fear or
compulsion of their said husbands or any other persons and that they do still
voluntarily assent thereto. Let the same, with this certificate, be
registered.
This 7 day of Jan. 1902.
