1937 Deed Cecil and Lucille Hill to J. Paul Hill
NORTH CAROLINA, LENOIR COUNTY
THIS DEED, made this 20th day of February, A>D> 1937 by Cecil Hill and
wife Lucille Sutton Hill of Lenoir County and State of North Carolina of the
first part, to J. Paul Hill of Lenoir County and State of North Carolina of
the second part:
WITNESSETH, That said parties of the first part, in consideration of
$400.00 (Four Hundred) Dollars, to them paid by the party of the second part
the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, have bargained and sold, and by
these presents do grant, bargain, sell and convey to said J. Paul Hill, his
heirs and assigns, a certain tract or parcel of land in Lenoir County, State
of N.C., bounded as follows:
Beginning at a point in the Old Hill line, said point being the southwest
corner of the J. Paul Hill 50.0 acre tract, and runs thence with the line of
the 50.0 acre tract N I 30 E 1345.0 feet to a point in the center line of
the Hull Road; thence with the center line of the Hull Road N 71 OW 324.0
feet to a point in the center line of said road; thence S I 30 W. 697.0
feet to a point in the center line of a ditch; thence with the center line of
this ditch S 19 OE 75.0 feet; thence S 30 E 108.0 feet; thence S. 19 O
E 200.0 feet; thence continuing with the center line of the ditch S 9 20 W-
375.0 feet to a point in the center line of said ditch where the old Hill line
crosses said ditch; thence with the old Hill line S 81 30 E 213.0 feet to
the beginning, containing 8.2 acres more or less.
TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the aforesaid tract or parcel of land, and all
privileges and appurtenances thereto belonging, to the said J. Paul Hill and
his heirs and assigns, to their only use and behoof forever.
And the said first parties , for themselves and their heirs, executors and
administrators, covenant with said party of the second part and his heirs
assigns, that they are seized of said premises in fee and have a right to
convey in fee simple; that the same are free and clear from all encumbrances,
and that they do hereby forever warrant and will forever defend the said title
to the same against the claims of all persons whomsoever.
IN TESTIMONY WHEREOF, the said parties of the first part have hereunto set
their hands and seals, the day and year first above written.

I, Julius Pate, Notary Public, do hereby certify that Cecil Hill and
Lucile Sutton Hill his wife, personally appeared before me this day and
acknowledged the due execution of the annexed Deed of Conveyance; and the said
Lucile Sutton Hill being by me privately examined, separate and apart from her
said husband, touching her voluntary execution of the same, doth state that
she signed the same freely and voluntarily, without fear or compulsion of her
said husband or any other person, and that she doth still voluntarily assent
thereto.

The foregoing certificate of Julius Pate, a Notary Public of Lenoir
