Mrs. Davis
DANVILLE--- Bertha Yawn Davis, 85, of Route 1 died Sunday in a Macon nursing
home. Services will be held at 3pm today in Cool Springs Primitive Baptist
Church in Danville. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The Rev. Wayne
Hughes will officiate.
Mrs. Davis, a native of Dodge County, had lived in Danville for the past 36
years. She was a homemaker and a Baptist.
Survivors include a daughter, Josephine Gantt of Warner Robins; five sons,
George Davis of Dublin, Rayburn Davis and Forrest Davis, both of Macon, Elbert
Davis of Cochran, and Edward Davis of Warner Robins; a sister, Pearl Chance of
Dublin; a brother, George Yawn of Eastman; 25 grandchildren; several great-
grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
McCullough Funeral Home of Warner Robins has charge of arrangements.

Bertha was born 5 Mar 1898 to James Thomas Yawn and Eliza J. Hodge Yawn.
Georgia death certificate #004713. Her husband was Jessie Bryant Davis who is
also buried at Cool Springs Cemetery.
