William J. Chance
MARIETTA---William J. Chance,80, formerly of 2938 Thornwood Srive, Macon,
died Monday in a local nursing home after an extended illness. Born in Twiggs
County, he lived in Marietta since 1987, moving from Macon. He was a retired
commercial tire salesman for the Raffield Tire Co. and was a member of
Vineville United Methodist Church and the Ed Cook Sunday School Class.
Survivors : children, Billie Dendy of Marietta and Ray Chance of Jackson;
sisters and brother, Myrtice Chance Raffield and Elizabeth Chance Nabers, both
of Macon and Rachel Chance of Cochran; and three grandchildren. Services: 4pm
today in Hart's Mortuary, Macon. Burial: Riverside Cemetery. The Rev. Allen
Sanders will officiate. Visitation: The family may be contacted at the
residence of Mr. and Mrs. Warren Raffield, 1101 Hill Place, Macon. In lieu of
Flowers, the family requests donations to the Ed Cook Sunday Class Scholarship
Fund, c/o Mrs. John Nations, 4416 Old Club Road, Macon 31210.

William was born 16 Feb 1910 to Elder Joshua H. Chance and Amanda "Mandy"
Howell Chance. Georgia death certificate #005594.
