Emma Knight Chance
Emma Knight Chance, 80, of 2938 Thornwood Drive died Saturday in a Cobb
County hospital.
Services will be held at 12:30pm today in Hart's Mortuary. Burial will be in
Riverside Cemetery, entering through the north gate. The Rev. Frederick Wilson
will officiate.
A native of Berrien County, Mrs. Chance lived in Macon for the past 46 years
and was a retired parts analysis employee at Robins Air Force Base. She was a
member of Vineville United Methodist Church and the Ed Cook Sunday School
Class. She was a honorary member of the state PTA and a longtime member of the
Daughters of the American Revolution.
Survivors include her husband, William J. Chance of Macon; two daughters, Ray
Chance of Jackson and Billie Chance Dendy of Marietta; two sisters, Sara
Weaver of Nashville and Ethel Perry of Deerfield Beach, Fla.; and three
grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the
Alzheimer's Disease Research, 1817 Clifton Road NE, Wesley Woods Campus,
Atlanta, Ga. 30029.
The family may be contacted at the residence of Warren Raffield and Myrtice
Chance Raffield, 1101 Hill Place.
