Gray Jordan, Sr. m. Penelope Hargrove, dau. of Aaron and
Unity Hargrove, prior to 1801. Gray Jordan, Sr. made his will
on July 26, 1841 and it was probated in November Court, 1841.

wife, Constant Thornell, was born about 1783.

1840, Lydia Beland, b. 1821. Old home still standing west of
U. S. 301 between Sharpsburg and Elm City.

his wife Agnes McGowan Smith b. Mar. 4, 1841, d. Dec. 9, 1925.
Both are buried in the Fishers row in country cemetery near
Autryville and Stedman, North Carolina.
