Mrs. Mattie Lattimer Buried in Woodlawn
Funeral services for Mrs. Mattie Lattimer, 82, of Adel were held
Saturday morning at 10:00 in the Salem Primitive Baptist Church.
Elder Varn Marshall, pastor, and the Rev. Jake Hutchison,
minister of the Adel Methodist Church officiated. Interment was in
Woodlawn Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Randall Bennett, Bill Bennett, Jack Moody, Thad
Maarshall, Dwight Marshall, and Tom Giddens.
"Beyond the Sunset," was sung by Mrs. Karen Flowers, and
"Amazing Grace," and "How Firm a Foundation," by the congregation.
Mrs. Lattimer died Thursday at her residence of an apparent
heart attack. She was a native of Laurens County and had been a
resident of Cook County the past 32 years.
Survivors are four brothers, Jake Nasworthy, of Millen; Wiley
Nasworthy of Danville, Va.; Jim Nasworthy of Columbus and Tom
Nasworthy of Rome; two sisters, Mrs. Nancy Dalton of Adel, and Mrs.
Ella Dalton of Sparks.
Boone Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
