Gresham & Samuel T. Wiley Joseph R Campbell, postmaster at Elm, Springfield township, was born in Springfield township, Fayette county, Penna, March 14, 1856. He received his education in the common and normal schools of Fayette county, and was married at Cumberland, Maryland, September 8, 1887, to Miss Lizzie Kimmiel, daughter of George F Kimmiel of Somerset county, Penna. In 1881 with his brother, Hon George W Campbell, he engaged in the mercantile business at Elm, and are now doing a thriving business. Mr Campbell is a young man full of energy and push, and is destined to make his mark in the business world. He was appointed postmaster at Elm in 1889.
