 James Alvin (Jim) Mock, 80, of Dasher and Pearson died Wednesday, December 25, 
2013. He was born in Valdosta on January 28, 1933 to the late Ralph Waldo and 
Erma Stanley Mock and lived in this area most of his life before moving to  
Pearson six years ago. Mr. Mock served in the United States Navy and was a 
retired machine supervisor with Owens-Illinois. He was a member of the Sardis 
Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon and attended Mt. Zion Baptist Church 
in Pearson.
 Survivors include his wife, Myrtle Davis Mock of Pearson; his children and 
their spouses, Debbie and Phil Neuman of Scotts Valley, CA, Gary and Teresa 
Mock of Woodstock, GA, Misty and Joe Gardner  of Crawfordville, FL; 
stepchildren and their spouses, Delbert Davis, Rhonda and Dwain McClellan all 
of Pearson; grandchildren and their spouses, Jessie and Justin Mountain, C.J. 
and Ashley Mock, James Wesley Gardner, Casey Drew Mock, Trace Mock, Karlie 
Mock, Kevin Davis, Mason Davis, Justin McClellan, Jessica McClellan Taylor; 
great grandchildren, Bryce Mountain, Will Davis, Connor Davis and Harlin 
McClellan; two sisters, Eva Louise Mott of Murphy, NC and Gwen Mock of Lake 
Park; brother, Charles Mock of Dasher. He was preceded in death by his first 
wife, Carolyn Roberts Mock; sister, Anita Mock; brother, Alton Mock.
 Graveside services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday, December 28, 2013 at Carter 
Cemetery in Echols County with Rev. Garvie Nichols and Rev. Jack Chaney 
officiating. The family received friends on Friday from 5-7 pm at the Carson-McLane
Funeral.
